The Crab

The Crab is a short story exploring isolation, self-protection, and the contradictory longing for connection through an introspective monologue in which a woman imagines herself as, or becomes, a crab. Blurring the line between metaphor and transformation, the work uses non-human imagery to articulate psychological states.
